Special Award Sponsor Proposal

Rocky Mountain Superchargers (RMS)is a racing circuit for Pro/Supercharged and Pro/Comp drag racing cars in Colorado and surrounding states. As do other circuits, RMS offers special awards to competitors in the circuit. The special awards are provided by sponsors each of whom sets the basis for the award and its type. Examples of these special awards include: Best Engineered Car, Best Appearing Car, Best Appearing Crew, Best Burnout, and Best Reaction Time.

It is not necessary for a competitor to win an event in order to win one of these special awards.  In that respect, they differ from contingency awards.

Sponsor Benefits:
Each competitor must display the sponsor’s decal on each side of the race car and must agree that the sponsor may use their likeness for advertising purposes in order to be eligible.

The sponsor may choose an award type that involves the crowd for a subjective award. Best Appearing Car is such an award. Or, the sponsor may choose an award type that is based on an objective test: Best Reaction Time, for example.

The sponsor becomes the “Official Provider” to RMS for the goods or service provided by the sponsor. The sponsor will have category exclusivity among special award sponsors.

The award is in the form of a credit and is payable to the competitor if, and only if, the competitor contacts the sponsor to do business. This is an excellent way for the sponsor to build a business to business relationship with the award winners.

The cost is low and the sponsor may choose to link to the RMS website to gain additional traffic.

RMS will:

Advocate and endorse the sponsor’s products and services.  

Include the sponsor’s information in communications with members, fans, and race tracks.

Ensure that the sponsor is promptly informed of each winner, in writing, as soon after each event as is practicable.
